The owner of this Peugeot 205 GTi requested our services for our top machine polishing bundle to remove scratches, scuffs and general worn paintwork and bring it back to life.
Upon arrival it appeared the vehicle had been sat for a while, resulting in green moss growing in intricate areas so we set to work.
We applied a prewash in the form of a snowfoam and left to dwell whilst we sorted the buckets out. The wheels were treated with a fallout remover as well as wheel foaming cleaner, left and then agitated with a stiff brush. The snowfoam then received a rinse, whole exterior washed using our graphene enhanced shampoo and rinsed again before being pat dried in prep for the machine stage.
We moved swiftly on to machining. The customer opted for our Stage 3 machine. So we began by cutting the paintwork using a firm pad, heavy cut compound, working in to all panels to enhance the gloss whilst removing defects in the paint and then buff off remaining polish. Once the entire vehicle had been cut back the paintwork then received a refine stage to bring back as much gloss levels as possible.
Our spray wax sealant was then applied through our foaming lance which adds instant protection up to 6 months. This will help protect from tree sap, bird droppings and give a layer of sealant over all.
Glass then received a wipe inside and out, door shuts cleaned, tyres and all trims dressed throughout.
The stripped out interior then received a wash, dry and wipe down using a spray wax product then hoovered to eliminate any dust particles. The seats were hoovered with the dash trim wiped down and dressed.
It isn't often we get to work on truly classic vehicles, especially ones that are rally bred and track toys but this is a work of art and a detail we thoroughly enjoyed working on!
